Great podcast. She’s amazing. I find fighter pilots amazing in general, but her story is very inspirational and the kind of story in which novels are written. Your line how destructive ideologies are over science pretty much sums it up perfectly!
What an inspirational story! I feel such a connection with her as someone that had my first tick bite diagnosed as a spider bite with a second tick bite happening about a year later - as well as my trip to see the head of the Infectious Disease Dept at Johns Hopkins only to be told "there's no Lyme/Babesia in New Jersey" (and this was after a lab test showed I was positive for Babesia!!). In any case, this was an amazing story and motivation for us all. I can see why she is a public speaker. She's awesome!
Awesome podcast. It gives me hope after being recently diagnosed with Lyme . Still working it out but it’s a start. I had my pity party listening. Crying. Now I feel better and some hope. It’s hard to understand how this could happen from a bite. I have a hard time wrapping my head around all of it and the destruction it’s had on my body. Ignored for almost 3 years by dozens of Dr.’s. This is the beginning of my fight but knowing is so much better than feeling like I was crazy when I knew something was so wrong.
Thank you for sharing this interview with such an inspirational woman. She really is amazing.
Thanks so much for this very inspirational discussion!! There is such compassion and validation in both of your voices, along with the desire to help other people. You have given many of us hope and encouragement to find solid answers and treatment.
Thanks for sharing this incredible person's story. Truly inspirational.

Wish there were more details on treatments that helped and how she knew they were effective etc

I agree, she's awesome. I often think about her saying, "Yield to overcome."
Thanks so much for taking the time to comment! Nicole is amazing and I still find my talks with her inspirational.
