Thanks. It's a delicate dance. Not enough Th1 favors pathogen persistence, too much Th1 for too long can cause tissue damage. The immune system never ceases to amaze.
Dr. Amy Proal is managing to break through silo walls that medical specialists find themselves trapped in. Complex disseminated Lyme and Lyme+ always reminds me of the parable of the 5 blind men examining an elephant. Physicians rely on researchers and PhD's such as Amy but ignore them and peer-reviewed published science when it comes to tick-borne illnesses. You can do a lot when you prune your evidence of all science that doesn't agree with dogma.
Listened twice That good. Loved this format, wonderful interchange and what a great first guest. Thank you both for your sharing knowledge and meaningful insights and a look behind the curtains. Sunlight so good.
Artemisinin can work as it also regulates Th1; Astragalus, oregano can stim Th 1 strongly—autoimmune stim—Herx can be damaging if not turned off

I agree, Amy is a powerhouse--She's an awesome person and really brilliant.
What you said about pruning evidence is so true--If it weren't for our biases and dogma, science would zoom ahead.
You are wonderful Dr. Phillips!
